Here is our list of the must see events in Boise this summer. These are the events that bring people together and what makes living in Boise so special. Each month offers something different, so mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss these.



Road to X Games - 15-16th

Once again, Boise is host to the X Games qualifying round where top skateboarders and BMX riders will compete for a spot at the X Games finals in Minneapolis. All the action takes place over Friday and Saturday at Rhodes Skate Park and is sure to be a big hit again this year.


Alive After Five Concert Series

The 32nd annual Alive After Five Concert Series begins again Wednesday June 6th.and runs every week into August. Get off work and come enjoy the live music and outdoor setting with many food and drink vendors to choose from. Completely free and open to all ages, Alive After Five runs 5-8pm every Wednesday through August in the newly renovated Grove Plaza.



Twilight Criterium - 14th

The Boise Twilight Criterium is a fast paced, action packed bike race in the heart of downtown. Riders from all over the world make laps through the streets of Boise and in front of the Idaho State Capital building. Racing takes place all day, with kids and women’s categories, and the main event starting in the evening. Be sure to check out the biggest race in Boise this summer!


San Inazio Basque Festival - 27-29th

The San Inazio Festival is the incredible celebration of Basque culture and history in Boise. Thousands come every year to experience traditional Basque food, music, dancing, and games. This event lasts all weekend and takes place in the Basque Block in downtown Boise.



Western Idaho Fair - 17-26th

Always a great way to end the summer season, the Western Idaho Fair has it all. The Fair is a mix of hit concerts, inventive concession foods, farm animals, a full carnival and much more to enjoy. This year’s main concerts include Bret Michaels of Poison as well as Styx the following night. Country star Randy Houser plays primetime on Friday night. Festivities last for 10 days and take place at the Expo Idaho Fairgrounds.



Art in The Park - 7 -9th

The Boise Art Museums annual event brings over 200 artist from all over to showcase their talents. Featuring tons of local food, drinks, and live music, Art in The Park is a great way to be immersed in creativity. This three day event takes place in the beautiful Julia Davis Park.
